This workshop aims to teach the essential techniques of calligraphy and letter knowledge. At the same workshop will be transmitted concepts that seek to show how to integrate Calligraphy in graphic design projects.

Introduction to Type Design

This workshop is designed to show the beginning type designer all the relevant steps in designing and producing a digital typeface. It is focused on the actual drawing of glyphs and use of design tools rather than on aesthetic considerations. Each participant will receive a one-year license of TypeTool and a free copy of Karen Cheng’s “Designing Type” poster.

For the first time,”Types of Letters” presents the Royal Letter, a stencil ruler based on a modern font that allows you to explore and combine various typographic styles. At the workshop each participant is asked to use a ruler, exploring their potencilidades of pictorial composition.
